I took a leap of faith and purchased Red Hats Down Under from the previous owner Michelle Johnsson. Michelle had put in the hard yards starting with her chapter then branching out to neighbouring chapters. When I heard Michelle was thinking of selling I never thought that I would be taking  a career change. I totally enjoy meeting and developing friendships with fellow Red Hat Ladies. Each Chapter is unique in its own way and we are all united in the vision of having fun.
 
My family supports me on selling days. My husband Phil always helps me set up and my two daughters are always on call to help on busy days. I have them in training for the next generation of Red Hatters.

The Benefits: 

  • Strictly no responsibility and obligations
  • No strict rules and by-laws
  • Time for a break is in the Red Hat dictionary, Busy is not!

The only Rules are:

You must be a woman of 50 or over

And attend functions in a Red Hat and Purple Outfit.

Or

A Pink Hatter under 50

And attend functions in a Pink Hat and Lavender Outfit.

Until you reach THE BIRTHDAY (50), we strongly encourage ladies not to wear the purple/red, to add an element of fun to aging.

Dreading the age of 50 is now a thing of he past, with so many pressures on society and women in general, it is about time to celebrate and become free again, bring out your inner child and have fun, join in the dress-up party and silliness of the Red Hats. Let the burdens, responsibilities and obligations disappear, join the hundreds of ladies involved embracing in their new life!
